Judge grants Collier attorney access to breath-test machine codes; manufacturer says they’re lost » Marco Eagle. Typical breath alcohol manufacturer bull crap. First, they refuse to let someone have access to the machine to determine whether it is reliable. Then they refuse to let someone have access to the programming of the device (called ‘sourcecode’) in order to determine if it is programmed/designed correctly. Then, after the courts around the country start granting access, they announce that the people can view it at their offices only (making it next to impossible to study). Someone finally has the wherewithall to show up, and the company claims they lost it! The entire design to the machine’s computer? WOW! Maybe the dog ate it!
