According to the news story:

“The Illinois State Police will conduct a Roadside Safety Check (RSC) in Kane County during the hours of 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, until 4 a.m.
Saturday, Aug. 25. According to Captain Joe Perez, the RSC will be held on the eastbound exit ramp from the Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88) to Illinois Route 31.

“The ISP has zero tolerance for impaired driving in Illinois. Officers working this detail will be watchful for drivers who are operating vehicles in an unsafe manner, driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, transporting open alcoholic beverages, or driving under the influence.

“Alcohol and drug impairment is a significant factor in more than 40 percent of all fatal motor vehicle crashes in Illinois. RSCs are designed to keep our roads safe by taking dangerous DUI offenders off the road.”
